Description
This painting on unstretched canvas may hang as an individual work or hang as the bottom component of a diptych "totem" painting (with acc# 1106). As an individual art work, it comprises two canvas panels. The top panel is darkly stained with earthy tones. It has a central eye motif with a vertical spine/scar leading to the lower panel. The lower panel is covered in a thick layer of pastel coloured paint embedded with found materials including cassette tape. Loose threads decorate the surface of the canvas throughout. The overall shape is uneven due to ripped torn and unstretched canvas.
2/2 of diptych (hangs below acc# 1106, vertically in a format the artist describes as a totem).
