Description
A history painting depicting an important movement in the history of the Protestant Reformation by the well-known English painter, William Yeames. It depicts the 14th century English religious leader, John Wycliffe, who is known as 'the Morning Star of the Protestant Reformation'. He is seen dispatching his Lollard followers to preach the gospel to the people. Another stone building, cultivated grassed areas and a horse and rider fill the background.
