Description
A black etched image of a group standing in a street; two women, a man and a child surround an official, who is wearing a uniform comprising a double-breasted jacket, cape and badged hat. His importance, and that of the two women, is indicated by the detailed manner in which they have been drawn; peripheral figures are sketched in lesser detail or simply outlined. The women and the man appear to be complaining to the official; all talking at the same time. The child is calling to someone out of frame while a well dressed woman in the background, looks at the group over her shoulder.
