Description
A wintery view of Wellington City featuring the western side of the Dominion Museum and National Art Gallery building (now the Massey University Wellington campus) and Carillion buildings on Buckle Street. In the background beyond Wellington harbour, snow can be seen on the Rimatuka ranges at the top of the Hutt Valley. Another Wellington landmark that can be seen in the painting to the right of the image, is St Gerard’s Monastery which is on a promontory above Oriental Bay.
