Description
Anagama-fired, wheel-thrown vessel form that has been compressed along two sides resulting in an oval shaped circumference and a 'flat' face. The main body is perforated from the interior with 'thumb-sized' holes. The surfaces of vessel are distressed as a result with associated tearing and cracking at the edges especially. There are also decorative linear scratches on the outer surface. The glaze is grey generally with flecks of brown and red ochres.
