Object Detail

Description
This textile artwork is from the series This Blasted Heath: landscape photographs of the Tasman and West Coast regions of Te Waipounamu translated into fabric using a digital Jacquard loom. The artist is interested in often-forgotten creeks re-named in colonial times . This image is a site in our region, an ‘unremarkable’ landscape that includes introduced pasture grasses gone rampant spilling over a creek.
