Object Detail

Description
Quiver (for Rose) is soft sculptural work that is suspended on the bronze Strong Arm II. These are part of a body of work Cachemaille made in 2018/2019 as she reflected on the future her teenage daughter faces. She says of the work “I know all mothers and their children must separate, and despite the ubiquitous nature of this experience, it feels monumental and epic to me. My way of thinking through this is to conjure, to make powerful wishes in the form of artworks, all attentive to a positive future narrative for my daughter”.
