Description
A maroon inked lithograph featuring a young girl and child. The young girl is dressed formally, with a jewelled clasp at waist. She is kneeling in front of a columned archway, with her hands together in prayer. The child is lying in a manger(?) filled with straw, holding a scepter, wearing a crown and is wrapped in cloth. A ray of light spans out behind the young girl's head and she kneels at the edge of a quarter moon with stars above her head. The young girl looks downward at the child; the child gazes at the viewer(?) or to a point beyond the viewer.
