Object Detail

Description
A stereotypical portrait of a middle aged woman wearing bold and fashionable clothes and accessories (sunglasses, bold red stone necklace and bangles) exiting The Suter Art Gallery, which is signalled by its distinctive blue doors. The interior is depicted as an exhibition space (rather than actual foyer space) with a partial view of Jane Evan's Summer Siesta painting (acc# 725) at left and exhibition signage to the right: references to The Suter's popular Jane Evans Commemorative Survey exhibition (1 December 2013 - 24 March 2014), which drew a broad audience. The image summarises the general type of visitor who was part of that artist's generation and to whom this artist's work was particularly popular.
