Description
A fantasy painting of the folk tale character, Rumpelstilzchen, holding the 'Spinnrad' in which he spun straw into gold. Rumpelstilzchen is styled as a North German sailor and sits in front of a farmhouse in the North German style. This painting was inspired by a trip that the artist took to his ancestral homeland at Bruchhausen-Vilsen, south of Bremen in 1979.
